OH MY GOODNESS. Jameson Rhodes is the perfect epitome of a grumpy protector. That made had me swooning left and right with his actions. He always put Noel first, even when he did not even realize it. Noel is SO freaking relatable. I saw a lot of myself in her character, especially when it came to her stubbornness and letting pride win over logic in some situations. Because honestly, I would have handled it the same way as Noel LOL. I just freaking adore her.

I have been waiting since "South of the skyway" for El and Brod to have a book. This was everything I wanted and more. The two really came into their own, and I love it so so much. At some parts, I was kicking my feet. Had to stay up until 11pm on a work night to finish it because it was THAT GOOD.

Meet Sydne (AKA S.J.) Barnett

Sydne Barnett is a lover of spunky, badass heroines, and heroes that embrace their wild. She's an avid reader, never turns down a good cup of coffee, loves hiking with her hubby, Joel, and lives for finding their next adventure.

If she's not writing, you can probably find her behind her camera, swimming, or curled up with a homemade pastry, watching Friends, HIMYM, or Gilmore Girls.

Raised in the Treasure Valley, Idaho, Sydne has a love for one-light towns, and winding backroads. She never turns down an authentic street taco, or a strong cup of black coffee.

I LOVED this story. I loved the world building, the characters, the found family, the slow burn, the fated mates, the I would burn the world down for you love between all of them.

Oh. My. God. THIS BOOK. This beautifully written book. I honestly had no idea what to fully expect when I first dove in, but the last thing I expected was to be so seen in a main character... If you have been sleeping on S.J. Barnett's books, what are you doing??

The plot was on point. It was full of love, action, good vs evil, and magic that it kept me fully captivated. I fell in love with all of the characters, they were all so different and unique. The amount of detail that was put into this story was chef’s kiss. I could not put this book down.
